Be a Guardian Angel

Our Guardian Angel program was established to help special need cats and kittens receive the care and attention they need before finding their new home. The program covers expenses associated with lab work, xrays, biopsies, dentals and other diagnostic tests and non-routine procedures. Through our Guardian Angel Program, cats and kittens are treated for various infections and diseases like chronic health issues, FIV, FeLV and upper respiratory, as well as treatment of injuries such as broken legs, torn ligaments, physical therapy and more.

CFA tries its best to insure many of our special needs cats and kittens can one day go to a forever home to be loved. We make sure they are in homes that can love and support special needs cats or kittens.

Some of these cats and kittens may need lifelong care and may never find the forever homes they need or long for due to the amount of care they require. They will spend the remainder of their days at our shelter in the loving care of our volunteers.

Donate to a specific cat that needs your help below, or make a general donation to the Guardian Angel Fund that will allow us to rescue and seek medical care for more injured and ill cats.

Linda has been with CFA since 2012. She was abandoned at our shelter, and has been in our care ever since. Linda is a sweet, outgoing lady. She is a social butterfly who doesn't know a stranger.  She loves being around people, playing with toys, sitting on laps and one of her favorite things is sharing your cereal milk! She is feline immunodeficiency positive but don't let that influence your decision as she is an all-around great cat. Please consider her for your forever kitty!

CFA note:  FIV is not contagious to humans or dogs. Linda lives with a foster, sharing the same litter boxes, food and water bowls as her cats. Recent studies show FIV is contagious to other cats only through a deep bite wound. Linda is a docile, non-aggressive lovable cat.

Please consider being Linda's Guardian Angel.

Elton is a 7 1/2 year old happy go lucky, sweet boy. He has tendon issues in his leg which causes him to walk with a limp but he keeps the same sunny disposition. He is a diabetic who receives 3 units of insulin twice daily.  If you would like to make a donation in Elton's honor to offset the cost of insulin, please press the Donate button and in the remarks field indicate your donation is to be used for insulin.

Please consider being Elton's Guardian Angel.
